Strategic Initiative
This document outlines the 'Storybook SCCLD: Children's Spaces' initiative, a strategic priority focused on transforming library children's rooms into interactive, enchanted play spaces. The initiative aims to build early literacy foundations, support skill development, and foster a love for learning by implementing the 'Every Child Ready to Read' principles of talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing. The overall goal is to create inclusive, joyful environments that captivate young children and their caregivers, thereby supporting third-grade reading proficiency through engaging early literacy experiences.
