Chimney Repairs RFP
This work will be done on the full height of the 140' tall chimney. A complete exterior inspection will be done to review any unknown issues that would make this stack unreliable for the next four (4) years. The lightning protection system will be inspected and faulty components replaced. The concrete cap will be inspected and cracks sealed. Clean-out door and the tension bands will be inspected for structural deficiencies. Caulk will be re-applied to all tension bands. The water tables above the breeching and clean-out door will be inspected and cracks sealed. Painting, siloxane, screen vent repair/replacement, all interior work, and breeching work will not be part of this project unless the inspection returns with structural deficiencies. Exterior masonry repairs including tuckpointing of deteriorated masonry joints and replacing brick units will be determined after the inspection.
