City of Wilmington Pre-Application Meeting
The meeting served as a pre-application Q&A session regarding the municipal Affordable Housing Subsidy Program. Key discussion topics included the $8.4 million funding available for projects serving individuals earning 80% or less of the area median income, requirements for 'shovel-ready' status, and application procedures for both large and small developments. Participants also received information about the upcoming 'Get a Lot' program, which aims to expedite development on city-owned vacant lots by providing pre-approved architectural plans and zoning variances. The session addressed inquiries regarding project eligibility, funding distribution timelines, and the application submission process.
