The committee held an election for a new chairman. Two main agenda items were discussed, both involving requests for text specific plan amendment approvals in the South Hartman overlay district. The first request concerned a 1-acre property at 690 Franklin Road for the Bow Aviation Youth Education Center, requiring an amendment to permit special training and schooling services. The second request involved a 3.5-acre property at an unaddressed Franklin Road location for the Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame and Bow Center for Aerospace Education and Research, which also sought approval for the same additional permitted use and a name change for the text specific plan. Both requests were approved, with a requirement that neighborhood meetings be conducted.
